8 Mar 1946 - Charleston Power Squadron chartered
First Power Squadron in Carolinas
First Squadron Commander - Ian L. McKenzie, N
18 members

15 June 1955 - Charleston Burgee approved by USPS

1956 - 45 members

1966 - 134 members

1979 - Building Purchase, 1376 Orange Grove Road

1986 - 145 members

1987 - Rear class room added to back of building

1994 - Purchased vacant lot behind building for parking area

2000 - 202 members

11 Sep 2008 - Name changed to Charleston Sail and Power Squadron

2010 - 184 members
